Questions
Is Staffkin really free?
Yes. The Free plan is free for as long as you like: one open job, five candidates per job, the full question library, prescreens, interview scoring, PDFs and onboarding checklists. PDFs and candidate forms carry Staffkin branding. Upgrade when you need more jobs, reference checks or AI.
Does AI decide who I should hire?
No. In Staffkin, AI only drafts and rewrites questions from the job details you type. It never sees candidates' answers, never scores or ranks anyone, and never makes a decision. Your interviewers enter every score.
Do candidates or referees need an account?
No. They get a private link by email, answer on their phone or computer, and their answers land in the candidate's file.
How do reference checks work?
One click emails the candidate to ask for consent and to confirm or add their references. Nobody is contacted until they agree. Then each referee gets the same short set of questions by email, and the answers appear on the candidate's page and in the PDF report. Paid plans include reference checks every month. On any plan you can also buy them one at a time for $9, no subscription.
Where is my data stored?
Your data is stored in Canada. Emails are sent through Resend and payments are handled by Stripe, which may process some data outside Canada. See the privacy policy for details.
Can I use my own questions?
Yes. Every guide is editable. Start from the library, add your own questions, change the scoring guide, or reorder anything.
